Biocides in leather products and shoes are subject to increasingly strict regulation with the aim of protecting consumers from toxic substances. Leather producers and manufacturers can minimise the risks of toxin presence by conducting comprehensive tests and quality assurance measures. In a webinar to be held on Tuesday 30 May 2017 at 10:00 am (CEST), TÜV SÜD will provide information about biocides in leather production. The webinar will be held in English. The webinar is aimed at heads of quality divisions, quality assurance employees, leather producers and manufacturers and leather dealers. Dr Benedikt Hendan, Head of the Chemical Analysis and Softlines Testing Team at TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH, will explain how leather products are contaminated with biocides, the European regulations that apply to biocides and how biocides can be avoided, thus ensuring product safety.
